Students must complete all of the following requirements in addition to the requirements for a bachelor of arts major to graduate with this minor. Some courses may apply toward multiple requirements.

Minor Requirements
Total minor units: 4-7, depending on language proficiency
Four to Seven Units in French, Depending on Language Proficiency:
If Starting with First-year French:
- FREN 111 - Beginning French I
- FREN 112 - Beginning French II
- FREN 211 - Intermediate French I
- FREN 212 - Intermediate French II
- Three units of FREN 300 or higher, excluding 470 (FREN 320 , FREN 321 , FREN 328 , FREN 332 , FREN 342 , FREN 343 , FREN 363 , FREN 371 , FREN 381 , FREN 382 , FREN 384 , FREN 390 , FREN 391 )
⇒A minimum of one 300-level French course must be taken at Reed
If Starting with Second-Year French
- FREN 211 - Intermediate French I
- FREN 212 - Intermediate French II
- Three units of FREN 300 or higher, excluding 470 (FREN 320 , FREN 321 , FREN 328 , FREN 332 , FREN 342 , FREN 343 , FREN 363 , FREN 371 , FREN 381 , FREN 382 , FREN 384 , FREN 390 , FREN 391 )
⇒A minimum of one 300-level French course must be taken at Reed
If Starting Beyond Second-Year French Proficiency:
- Four units of FREN 300 or higher, excluding 470 (FREN 320 , FREN 321 , FREN 328 , FREN 332 , FREN 342 , FREN 343 , FREN 363 , FREN 371 , FREN 381 , FREN 382 , FREN 384 , FREN 390 , FREN 391 )
