Students are required to complete all standard college requirements.

Six Units of ICPS Requirements
Four Units from One of the Following Subjects:
Three Additional Units of Empirical Politics From:
⇒A minimum of two at the 300 level or higher (excluding 470)
Two Additional Units from the Following, in a Different Subject Than Used Above:
One additional unit of Empirical Politics from:
Six Units in Anthropology, Including:
One Unit of Statistics from the Following:
Proficiency in a Non-English Language, Demonstrated by One of the Following:
- Successful completion of Reed language courses:
⇒ Two units at a second-year level,
OR
⇒ One unit at a higher level;
- Committee approval of language courses taken elsewhere, including:
⇒ Successful completion of language courses taken in secondary (high) school or at another college/university,
AND/OR
⇒ Successful completion of a language placement examination at Reed;
- Committee approval following an assessment of language proficiency in a non-English language, including heritage languages, commensurate with at least two years of college-level coursework.
Junior Qualifying Examination
Recommended, but Not Required:
Preferably two anthropology units in a specific geographic area
