Students must complete all of the following requirements to graduate with a bachelor of arts in this program. Some courses may apply toward multiple requirements.

Major Requirements:
Total major units: varies, depending on approved program.
The following are the partial requirements of an ad hoc interdisciplinary program in religion. The remaining requirements from the other discipline must be approved. Students should inquire with faculty advisers and departments regarding an ad hoc program.
Course requirements as specified by the related discipline:
Proficiency in a non-English language, demonstrated by one of the following:
- Successful completion of Reed language courses:
⇒ Two units at a second-year level,
OR
⇒ One unit at a higher level;
- Department approval of language courses taken elsewhere, including:
⇒ Successful completion of language courses taken in secondary (high) school or at another college/university,
AND/OR
⇒ Successful completion of a language placement examination at Reed;
- Department approval following an individual assessment of language proficiency
