PSY 227 - Science Communication This course covers science communication within the scientific community, including peer review and ethical considerations, and extends to public engagement through news articles, social media, and health advisories. It emphasizes concise, impactful communication, akin to social media efficiency. The curriculum splits between internal scientific communication-covering peer review and research ethics-and external communication, examining the portrayal of science in news and social media, with a keen focus on accuracy and public misinformation. Engaging with these dual aspects prepares students to adeptly navigate and bridge the complex world of scientific discourse and public dialogue.
