ECON 323 - American Economic History

This course introduces the student to the economic history of the United States from colonial times to the present. Emphasis is placed on understanding the sources of economic growth and processes that have affected disadvantaged groups of American society. Topics to be covered include the colonial economy, the economics of slavery, the development of key industries and financial markets, and the Great Depression.
