ECON 358 - Urban Economics In this course, the focus is on urban agglomerations (cities and their surrounding areas).. We explore policy issues specific to local governments in urban areas, including zoning, housing and segregation, eviction, poverty, transportation, education, and crime, as well as how local governments make policy decisions While the primary emphasis is on economic modeling, we will also incorporate research from social scientists in other disciplines.
