Major Requirements:
Total major units: 10 Two Units of 200-level Humanities
Six Units of History at the 200 level or higher (excluding 470):
⇒The same course may fulfill multiple requirements ⇒A maximum of two cross-listed courses from other departments may be included ⇒A minimum of four units must be taken at Reed ⇒Students should inquire with the history department about appropriate substitutions Chronological requirement:

Geographical requirement:
A minimum of one unit from four of the following geographic areas ⇒ Transregional/world/global ⇒ Africa and the Middle East ⇒ Asia ⇒ Europe ⇒ Latin America ⇒ The United States/Canada One unit of Junior Seminar
